What makes a good thread? Do certain contributions/contributors annoy you or do you find others particularely interesting? Your views ...

Clearly from the dearth of responses, this is a bad one. I'm sure it has nothing to do with you DM

some contributors really dont know what there talking about and some take credit for others advice. thats quite annoying, but it's an open forum so a pinch of salt springs to mind. i look at threads that i may have knowledge on so i can offer some input, those i dont know about i leave well alone. i wish there was more vinyl threads though.

Tentative plans for an analogue blog in the website relaunch.... If/when we do it, i'll expect to see you joining in!

As for the good/bad thread question, I enjoy the threads that focus on knowledge and experience sharing.

It's great, for example, if someone asks about a product and we reply with our view on the product, then everyone else adds their own take, alternative suggestions etc.

That way the poster gets a really good list of kit to audition, which will hopefully make their buying experience easier and more enjoyable. Cos that's what we aim to be all about....

The threads that annoy me are those that go over the same ground again and again and again. Plus, some people just can't accept another's opinion. Makes for quite an amusing read sometimes...

Nice thought, but that leading zero is superfluous.
What if I was already turned on?

Agree but there's always new people that 'need to be treated gently' appearing, so whats old to us is new to them. Still, they dont usually stay for long, wonder why

and again.
Agreed, although it wouldn't be as annoying if only....
Plus, some people just can't accept another's opinion.
Exactly, when questions like"did you abx test that?" or the dreaded "you must have been imagining things (placebo attack) " turn up you know it's gonna be a bad thread. I mean, how arrogant to say you know better than someone who actually experienced it! Best you can say is you see it differently or your experience was different.
Makes for quite an amusing read sometimes
If your not in the thread, then yes- it sometimes borders on the hilarious...

Apple/Hob Nobs/Apple/Hob Nobs...........

Hm......it's a tricky one.
Crumbs, which sounds better to eat? The Hob Nobs have been baked to improve them and the apples rely on an outer skin or insulation. ;o)
