Goldring NS1000 Extension Cable?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a pair of these headphones, as they seem to get well reviewed for the bargain price of £50.......the problem seems to be the length of the cable @1m long. As this is QED cable, can an extension of suitable quality be found, I need another 1.5-2m to sit comfortably away from the hi-fi.

Any suggestions please, cheers me dears, Richard......

This is what I use. I have taken one apart as well and the build and materials are superb. ThatCable

the cable can be unplugged at the headphone end so i would replace the whole cable rather than buying an extension lead

I could not find a cable that fitted the narrow space in the headphone. That is why I went for an extension instead.

Sound wise, excellent with good detail from bass to treble. They are quite attacking and will rock along with rock music. I prefer the sound with NR switched off. Switch it on and the sound is too bright for me, but suits others. Isolation from outside noise is very good without NR and even better with it on. These headphones are unusual in that they still work with NR turned off, so you can save on batteries.

The build is very good, but they can creak where the cup, which twists joins to the headband. They also leak a surprising amount of sound for closed backed headphones. They come with a brilliant case that fits them, extra batteries and an ipod classic with bits of cable.

Comfort is good, but like most closed backed headphones you can get sweaty ears. I have read of those with large ears not getting a good fit.
