And So I Watch You From Afar now rate with The Who as the most exciting band I have seen live. The sound quality was superb and instead of the expected wall of noise you could hear the interplay and individual guitars. The audience went wild, including me and I will see them again. Superb.

I've got Neurosis tickets for 6/12/10

Heck

Ive been after watching Neurosis for ages. What were they like Chris?

They were good. Enjoyed it a lot, but not as good as when I saw them at The Forum, Kentish Town about 5/6 years ago.

Support act was a bit weird. This old fella called Dan Higgs who was sat on a chair at the front of the stage with a banjo and a string of bells on his foot.

Just booked to see Bellowhead at The Anvil in Basingstoke, April 30th - been really getting into them recently.

Mrs. Naxos has also decided to drag me to see Rod Stewart at Newbury Racecourse on May 29th (no electrician jokes, please)

. Well, it's not far to go, and I can always watch the drummer, I suppose...

Last nights gig was odd in that there were more people there for the first support band, a standard heavy metal outfit who did Black Sabbath covers than for the main acts

Now got a ticket to see Battles at The Arches on the 7th June.

Dum Dum Girls at the same venue on April 6th. Unless I have to work late or something tragic like that.

Just booked to see Blackfield supported by The Pineapple Thief in April. Should be a great gig!

Last gig was a BRILLIANT night of John Lees' Barclay James Harvest at Buxton Opera House in February. They were absolutely superb again.

Looking forward to seeing The Pineapple Thief in a couple of weeks time at The Classic Grand in Glasgow, which was for many years the porn cinema in Glasgow! It is great that so many cinema's have found new life as gig venues.

Dillinger Escape Plan is next up for me on Oct 29th at The Garage in Glasgow. Never been to the Garage before, never seen Dillinger live before, I expect to be at the least deaf and seriously if not fatally injured at this gig judging by their live reputation, it'll be fun though!!!!

Ooooo!..... Me neither!

Sadly, I feel T.D.E.P have been on a steady downhill slide since 'Calculating Infinity'.

Next for me is 'The Faceless', 'Veil Of Maya', 'Born Of Osiris' & 'Gorod' at The Camden Underworld. 16/5

Saw The Pineapple Thief on Sunday at our local venue - I am not sure that I actually like their style/music but enjoyed the gig, if you can appreciate the difference. Very good musicians and willing to chat to the audience, which was appreciated. Shame the attendance wasn't better.

Mind you, it was another case of chalk and cheese acoustics: Godsticks were the support and the overall sound was a mess. And yet, TPT's mix was almost spot on. Shame they're just 'not me'.

I'm really looking forward to IQ at The Assembly in Royal Leamington Spa in June - never been to that venue and never seen IQ live (oh, what a sheltered existence!)

I saw The Boxer Rebellion earlier this month in London Town. Third time i've seen them, and they are a fantastic live band. They really should be bigger than they are.

Got Suede to look forward to in May at Brixton, one of their 'Album' nights, Dog Man Star it is for me.
