Will setup this Friday.

Looking at the specs, it isn't different to the significantly cheaper 6500 apart from 8500 having 13 channels of amplification which you don't need.
Thanks BB cancelled and now ordering the 6500. 🙂

Ordered from Peter Tyson and got a 5 year warranty. Coming Friday.

Is setting the Denon up easy? I am a bit nervous after how the Pioneer sc-lx90 amp went.

It's actually very easy. Audyssey is very user friendly. Just follow the steps on the screen.
That’s good because it’s going to cost me £180 to have it setup. And I only got a partial refund on the Pioneer sc-lx90 amp!

I’ve been told recently by an audio installer that Denon amps are very user friendly.
He actually owned an Arcam 750/850 for about a year but sold it on as it was too complicated for casual use for his family, and bought a Denon X7200WA and much prefers that. Simple to use and great sound and options.
Thanks mate. 👍 The menus look good and the back of the amp looks quite simple to use.

If you've already asked Phil, that's fine. Audyssey setup is pretty much idiot proof....they start from connections in a step wise manner.
I will give it a go and try and save some money.

Do you set speakers to large or small? Do you really have to set it up 8 times?

I guess I should start with a screwdriver and getting the clips of the end and putting the banana plugs in?

These end bits seem pretty solid on this amp the bannana plugs do go in right?

I can’t get the amp to talk to the TV to do the initial setup?
