Hello , Ive just bought the sony 350 BR and have the sony DAV-IS10 is the best way to connect the sound by digital optical , Which i have done ...Also what is the DMPORT for on the DAV ... Many thanks

I think you should be able to get surround sound through the hdmi cable too, so no real need for the optical lead.

The DMPORT (Digital Media Port) is a link for other Sony music products (I believe).

I just realised that you can't connect your BD player to the Sony box with hdmi so yes, optical is the way forward.
