Geneva Model S question about dock

Just bought a Geneva Model S. But when I set it on Ipod, the dock doesn`t go all the way down. So I have to push the last bit.

The picture shows how it´s when I select Ipod.

Is the Geneva faulty? Or is this how it´s made?

I have 'played' with a Geneva S in John Lewis once. (I loved the action of the dock cover.)

Yours is definitely faulty if it doesn't instantly and fully retract. Take it back.
