Galaxy tab 10.1 reset

Few months in no probs. Switch on today and all apps & files gone. Had to do factory reset. Anyone had similar?

Only issue I'm having is a general slowdown over time, wifi connection lost when switching on (need to off/on wifi to fix) and a general annoyance at Samsungs tardiness in upgrading to O/S.
