Hi all,

Is it possible to sit on my sofa and google search etc on my TV screen?

I've just networked the complete house with Cat 5 x 2 points to each TV, back to a central patch panel. I need to refresh my complete system - TV / Blu-Ray / Media server? / Surround sound etc.

If this is not currently possible does anybody have an idea of how long until it will be?

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

Cheer David

I know some Philips TVs has full web access, rather than just a web portal with limited apps, although using the standard remote control for browsing (it's like texting on a phone) is a bit fiddly.

Alternatively you could do what vie just done.
Ordered a Dell Zino PC, they're really small and will sit on your tv stand very discretely. They connect to your TV or monitor via HDMI, and can be bought with wireless keyboard & mouse & when ordering you can spec if and what type of wireless card you'd like.
So you can surf on your tv easily.
Mine cost £350 direct from Dell (without screen)
I primarily use my iPad and a laptop (which is slowly expiring) so wasn't after a super dooper PC. Still got 3GB of RAM though.
