I currently recieve freeview through my Samsung LE26A456 TV upstairs in my bedroom, the same ariel serves my Sony 40KDL-40D3000 downstairs in my lounge. As a rule, the picture is very good apart from the occasional bit of blocking. I found however, that last week during the very hot weather, my upstairs Samsung had aq load of blocking and lose of signal. Would a dedicated digital ariel improve this situation permanantley/

When I asked my RF colleges at work regarding an aerial, you need a
'high gain, wideband' one. Somewhere in your Freeview boxes menu there
will be a signal strength indication and a measure of the signals error
rate. It should give a crude indication of improved performance.
