Free Virgin HDMI... 1.3 / 1080P ??

Anyone know if the free black (and what appears to be gold plate) HDMI's that come free with V+ box are V1.3 and 1080P ??? I have two, and they look the business, even having a ferrite block on. I don't want to buy 3 of the nice cheap Plexus V1.3 ones at Ebuyer if I can keep the two I have. I called Virgin, but after ages on the phone I was none the wiser as the call handlers had no idea!!!

If you have them, why not just try using them?

I am.... but I have no way of knowing if I am getting the deep colour etc that I should be! How can I tell?! Thats my point, if it doesn't say on the box (these came with no box) how do you know what you have or what you are not getting!

Try using the Onkyo remote to control your TV? RIHD needs 1.3a I think?

They will not be 1.3a!

Care to qualify that? How do you know! That is my point really, that I can't find out how to test! They appear to be pretty good quality. Anyway, to be on the safe side I bought three Plexus ones from ebuyer. They state v1.3 (although not 1.3a which Clare's helpful link to the HDMI website explains is nothing to worry about!).
