floor standers vs bookshelf on stands?

what are your opinions on the pros and cons of both??

There's no hard and fast rule about which is better: floorstanders can
obviously deliver more bass due to their larger cabinets and the simple
laws of physics, but we've often got superb results from standmounters,
provided of course they're on good-quality stands (and not a shelf).
