FLAC Wireless Bandwidth

Does anyone happen to know how much bandwidth is used when wirelessly streaming FLAC files?

I have an Orange Livebox V 1.1? and it can supposedly handle 54MBps, but I get regular dropouts and playback interuptions when the internet is being used on the network and particularly when accessing or writing to the NAS (Buffalo Linkstation Live).

Red book CDs are 44100 samples/s x 16 bits x 2 (stereo) = 1.4Mbits/s

I'm thinking that the router might be a bit rubbish then.

Perhaps an Ethernet hub/switch might be a good idea? This would allow wired connections to most devices.

I Have a pretty middle of the range Netgear wireless router and can stream 24/96 Flac without any drop outs, haven't tried anything of higher quality as the NDX can't play them!
