First AV Help

Hi guys

I am about to purchase a AV receiver, dont need anything too fancy as I got a small room.

Will be using Denon 6 ohm speakers.

Choices are:
Sony STRDH540 £130 or the Yamaha RX-V375 £199

Is the extra for the Yahmaha worth it?

as long as HD audio isnt important, then have a look out for a sony STR-DA1200ES, second hand. theres always loads on ebay and they go for £70-£120. its an amp thats extremely capable and a steal for the money.

Hi

Nah I want HD audio. My parents got a non hdmi denon that the speakers I have came with.

I was able to bring the price of the Yamaha down to £179 plus £30 voucher.

Is it that a good deal?

Only issue is, Sony has hdmi pass through while the Yamaha dont but I hear the yamaha is superior reliablity wise.
