it seems a decrease in quality and a big one, from ok to very cheap quality and i do like NAD as a brand since the 70´s, but this is very ...cheap?don´t even know how to describe it, less everything

About not a turntable brand, i think i remenber them having good turntables but might be from a lot of years ago, i´m going to check it

In 1980 NAD had a turntable told to be a poor building construction(what would they say if they could see the new things being sold) but acurate in sound as in 86 there was another model with a very out of the ordinary arm, but always refered as good in output sound both were much better than the new NAD turntable, check on line catalogs

I know you always recommend old stuff but I am interested in this new(er) NAD
i have not anything to do with the choice of turntables, i can only say that i bought three new turntables in the 80´s and one in the 90´s ,

all were good but none works today ,i already bought a new one recently , but the 70´s ones sound like top quality and never needed repairs ,only done the mandatory maintenance,

now that my father died some years ago, i have even more but again the 70´s ones seem to work perfect and other 80´s and 90´s models that were great ,none works, all were taken care of, like most of the people wouldn´t do, or open the manual ,as second a friend of mine, "all are the same" only they aren´t,

I really like NAD, even two weeks ago i went to get a 77 receiver , the 7030 a low power receiver but sounds great,

i think i also have a NAD turntable(a 70´s one), i´m looking for it, in the 80´s there was a litle integrated amplifier that in a different way from usual you could connect a very simple amplifier where the left speaker is connected to the integrated amplifier and the right to the power amplifier, i think i never seen other like this. Only, i could be wrong,

about the new NAD i look into it´s way of working and notice that couldn´t be more simpler, it as anti-skating and weight ,also a engine and a nice platter ,instead of a full aluminium block as a Rega type thing and in Photos looks modern, i like modern turntables like the Rega P10 and the Goldnote Bellagio ,

and love the Burmester turntable(217?) with everything needed for a perfect performance, don´t hear much about them, i only discovered this while driving my father last diesel mercedes as it said in the tweeters, this beautifull brand

i could even go far and if i had more money i would buy the all Nagra aniversary edition system, a bit expensive but it would improve my listening experience with some Focal Utopia Grande speakers, if needed a bit more amplified , i keep remenbering the JBL 67000, somehow makes me remenber the 70´s with a improved design, let´s see what the future brings.

Does look quite nice but agree with Rui, I think it would be a step backwards. If you are after a more stripped back look, what about a Rega P3/6?

I played Art Blakey, Orgy in Rhythm and the drums ... the drums!

We have an outside office, separated from the building by perhaps 10 meters and my partner could hear it loud and clear. Windows closed. In room it just sounded incredible, the floor resonating in sympathy. The Technics is pin point and bang on time, absolutely no smearing with ultra clean bass. Used with a cheap AT.

This with a lowly Arcam and 25 year old speakers. I am pretty sure the Rega P3 couldn't have done this but having that one no more, I can't of course be certain.

The dynamics, quiet to loud are quite extraordinary, more so as the Arcam phono stage in combination with the Technics is super quiet.

I very rarely listen above fairly quiet, must add.

I had to listen to that album out of curiosity (still listening now). The percussion on the opening track is incredible!

EDIT: And "Toffi". In fact, it's all just good.
