This is my first post . I want to replace desktop speakers with DAC+ amp + speaker pair; they will be sitting on the desk or stand mounted close to the wall in a 10sqft room. Most of my music collections are jazz or blues in mp3@320 or FLAC. I am considering fatman amp only (£109) + F1 custom (£100) + Beresford for the price and warmth. ..However I have some questions:
a) What are the options around £500
b) Is lack of magnetic shielding going to be a problem one ft away from the PC?
