Extending hdmi

If I were in your position, I would buy either the extension lead or a coupler + another shorter lead (see my first response - whichever suits best). That's because there's no way I'd be bothered to go about stripping down wallpaper / pulling out cables / running in a new longer cable / re-plastering etc. just for this issue.

What should you do? I can't say - it's your decision at the end of the day.
