Experience with Darbee

Does anyone have any experience of the video processing thingies manufactured by Darbee? At first I thought snake oil, but watching some videos of the processing online it clearly makes a difference. What I cannot decide (without trailing a demo unit if one is available) is if I prefer the processing and it reveals detail hidden in compression, or if it makes it look artificial.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has any first hand knowledge

It’s a bit like Marmite, to me (And lot of others) it looks awful and artificial, however others find it is the best thing since sliced bread, so it’s one of those things you will need to try out for yourself.

I've got Darbee on my Oppo. Highest setting is overprocessing which I'm not a fan of, but a bit of Darbee effect actually enhances the experience. I like it.

I saw that some oppo players have the processing built in; yes, from what I saw when set to 100% it definitely looked artifiicial, but turned down to just be perceptible might be interesting. Thanks for your opinion, definitely going to enquire about a demo if I can find a UK dealer.
