EXCLUSIVE - details of the 2009 Yamaha range

If you read the story, you will see Yamaha Audio, the new company founded after the 2008 models were ordered from the factory, is saying it's put measures in place to ensure the problems it inherited won't be repeated with the 2009 range.

Yes, I'd just like to re-iterate what Andrew says. Yamaha is acutely aware of the stock issues it faced last year and that is precisely why all the new models will be the same across Europe, so in future the company can pull in supplies from other countries if necessary to meet demand in the UK.

Looks like they are doing everything they can to distance themselves from the logistical problems of the old guard. Except making any statements about what they are trying to do to solve them clearly. There are still people waiting on the old models ordered in 2008 which aren't likely to be fulfilled before the new kit hits the shelves. How about upgrading peoples' orders to the next model up in the new range for no additional cost?

I cancelled my order for an RX-V1900 from a dealer who accidentally mailed me today saying my order could be delivered mid-May/early June, but they're not sure. The RX-V1900 is still a current model until 2010, and yet that would be 6 months from point of order to delivery, assuming it did arrive then.

The silver lining on this cloud is that I cancelled and found myself an RX-V3900 in stock with the very nice people at The Home Cinema Centre and am now a very happy bunny. Absolutely corking piece of kit, but Yamaha's shocking logistics and customer communication leave a lot to be desired.

Maybe but that's nothing like as funny...

Thanks Acciesboy, I am glad you are happy with the amp. Yamaha are assuring us of better things with this range but we have increased our orders just in case.....The new range looks very good, especially the budget models. HD Audio at a new low price point will introduce a great many more people into good quality sound.

Please can anyone tell me if the new Yamaha RX-V565 has pre outs and a zone 2 capability?

Thanks

Andrew Everard:No - those facilities kick in with the 765.

Andrew

Thank you for the quick reply
