Looking for some advice please.

My 3 year old Epson TW 6100 HD projector has decided to throw the towel in.

It has a fault where in will over heat and shut down.

Epson want an eyewatering £470.00 to fix. They charge this as a standaed price regardless of the fault.

Other places I've checked out want to charge to collect and return and ask for fee up front returnable if you go ahead with repair estimate.

My question is is there anyone out there who can repair Epson projectors at a fair price, ( I live in Birmingham) and if not what price would I expect to get sold faulty, or is there a place that will trade in for a new projector.

Seems crazy if i have to scrap a !k projector!

Do you have any idea what's wrong? If its something simple like a cooling fan gone bad you may be able to find the same one on fleabay and get some chap with a soldering iron to swap them.

Just a thought...
