I have an opportunity to purchase these speakers (bi-wirable).

Does anyone have an experience of these speakers? What was their original price? They do seem to have decent reviews.

I remember ES14s being rather good, but very fussy about the quality of the kit connected to them... I seem to remember them being around £400 or so, but that was quite a while ago...

Was that (400 gbp) the new price or a second hand price? I thought they originally cost 800/900 gbp.

To be honest, the last list price I remember was early 90s, so I may be well out depending on how old they are...

I have purchased these speakers (preowned). They are totally unmarked.They come with the epos stands and good quality biwire cable.

They are very good indeed musically. A bigger, more accurate, soundstage - increased detail throughout the range with no undue emphasis. A great buy!!

I play them on the end of a pioneer a400 amp (class act!) and a marantz cd6511 player.

Nice one! Always good to hear of someone getting an upgrade they are chuffed to bits with...
