Well that frightened the life out of my wife🤣. Just chatting after I got back from London and she didn't know it was happening 5 phones went off in our house. Better than last time, we are on the three network and last time it didn't work for us.
🤣🤣Mine went off at 15:01 but then again at 15:17. They must know I’m getting deaf! 😂
Don't think you can disable this one, it goes off even if phone switched to silent...One of the first things I disable whenever I get a new phone....

It’s there on iPhones too.You can. I do. I don't receive them.
There's a setting in the menus to disable emergency alerts (on Android at least)
Sorry but why the F would you turn it off , unless it is a hidden secret phone, I found it very useful back in 2019 when the phone alerted us to a massive fire infront of us while driving through Romania.
I can get that if I was driving so much I wouldn't want a distraction. What I found weird was how much my wife cringed when the phones went off. I thought ity not that loud. Turns out the emergency signal came through on her hearing aids. Now I know if she had an iPhone, calls can be blutoothed direct to the hearing aids but with android phones like we have the app only controls the volume of the hearing aids, so to get the emergency signal blutoothed to her hearing aids from her android phone took her completely by surprise and hurt her ears, can you imagine that if she'd been driving.I spend approx 1/3 to 1/2 my working day driving, I don't need that kind of distraction whilst doing so.
I live in the UK where in terms of natural disasters we suffer a bit of wind, some flooding and wild fires on occasion.
I don't need the Govt. to warn me of that.
I was unfortunate enough to spend an extended period in the US a while back, where there over use renders them a pointless annoyance at best imo.
