So, having in mind you are into Focal speakers, maybe you can help here: two details repulsing me from these Focals: 1.Tweeter is on top so sitting has to be up 2. they declare 92,5 db sensitivity, bet some independent test says it's just 89,5 db. I like higher sensitivity in order to get all tones even on low power
I think you are digging too deep into figures.
You are not going to notice the difference between 92.5 and 89.5dB.
Most speakers are designed with tweeter uppermost.
No idea what " has to be up 2" means nor it's relevance .
Even if someone here does own the Elipsons it is doubtful they will be using your amplification and, anyway, their hearing wil be different to yours.
I stick with my suggestion that you don't buy any speakers that you cannot audition first, preferably in your own home and certainly at this price.
