DTS HD, Master Audio through Cyrus AV8??

Im not really happy with the music reproduction through the Onkyo, SACD is not too bad, but stereo from the Apple TV is not good!

I have been offered a Cyrus AV8 with 3 Smartpowers at an excellent price and am wondering whether this might solve the problem, without me having two seperate amps for stereo and 5.1.

Are there any potential problems with this setup?

Can I get the latest DTS HD etc. to play through the Cyrus?

Any other suggestions would be welcome - budget around £1200 (more than willing to buy 2nd hand)?

Only if it's had the 5.1 Straight Line upgrade, in which case you can use the multichannel analogue output of the 650BD to feed it.

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately, the unit I was getting has not got this upgrade! Typical!

I've also been looking at the Audiolab 8000 AP/X7 combination - stretches my budget a bit, but this apparently has LPCM, so am I right in thinking HD sound would be possible through these with the Cambridge Audio doing the decoding?
