Hi, Not sure if this has been asked but can't find an answer.
I am looking to upgrade my AV kit. Currently using older Pioneer amp and dvd with kef 2005.2's and a rel quake sub.Still sounds great in dts but looking to move with the times and get into blu ray I am currently looking at the yamaha dsp-ax863 av amp and was concidering a speaker upgrade as well to b&w m1's but am not sure if they are are suited or not.
The question is - if I am keen on the b&w's then is the 863 worth the extra money or should i be looking at the 763 OR if I was to keep the 863 in mind then what standard of speaker package do I need to get the best out of the amp other than the b&w 863 setup (small style package if possible). My budget is reasonable but would like to spend less rather than more but not at the expense of quality and reuse the sub if possible. I also have a Rega turntable so stereo music quality is high on the list as well.
Do both of these amps work well with the Pioneer bdp51fd or am I looking too high spec for the proposed system - can anyone recomend a better option. Thanks Neil
