Hello al HiFi users and sound engineers.

So recently i've been interested in making my own pair of bookshelf speakers, a simple 2 way baffle with a woofer and a tweeter, but well, the woofer selection part is done, i choosed a simple 6.5" woofer, 8Û and 60W máx.

Now my question is which tweeter to use, i have two options, a titanium bullet tweeter 4", 4Û and 400W máx, and the second option is a 3", 8Û and 100W máx.

I know it'll be easier to get an "standard" impedance with the 8Û one, but i still have some doubt, here are some pictures of my drivers...

Welcome to the forum. I'm no speaker builder, but I do know that you need to fully understand the specs in order to design the crossover. Choosing between two units in the way you seem to be is a recipe for disappointment. Not to mention the cabinets!

If you are in the UK, the place I would head to is here:-

Others may have better ideas Good luck, whatever you decide.

Yes go see you can choose from many different designs and driver type. The crossovers are already made up for the kit fully optomized and they sound fantastic.

A few months ago i auditioned the massive k100 floor standers.

Best speakers ive ever heard
