I am contemplating getting laminate flooring currently have carpet in my bedroom but I am not sure if this will affect the sound quality in my room from my current home cinema set up.

I have a solid Oak floor and the sub sits on it. Now the sub as four rubber feet but I still get vibrations up through the floor and into the metal and timber framing in the recliners. Wife quite likes it, well she always smiling when there is a good bassy film on. But yes you feel it but it does not affect the sound at all

Be careful of reflections though. Sound can bounce off shiny and solid things. Always better to have some soft furnishings.

i would guess it will definitely affect the sound, covering our laminate with rugs made quite a difference.
