Dilemma - Stick with Arcam Movie or buy Separates?

Good Day to You All,

Recently impulse bought Arcam Movie 5.1 and then Monitor Audio Apex to deliver.

However, several experts have remarked that I won't get the best of my Apex with the Arcam, so then deeply contemplated Naim N-Vi (reliably told that the N-Vi is very unreliable). My big brother had some Naim gear in early 80s and it sounded fantastic, so always craved owning some but pointless if it's going to be sent back to Naim.

I also contemplated the Meridian G95 but like the Arcam and the Naim, its not Blu-Ray and it's also fairly old kit. I have a budget which isn't bottomless but cannot see the point of buying old technology and really want an amp that's going to do full justice to the Apex.

I don't play CDs as have got into the habit of downloading everything into my MP3 player.

Therefore should I stick with the Arcam Movie or is it worth trading it in for an Arcam AVR 500 or similar (plus £1,500) and then spend about £800 on a Blu-Ray player? If so which one do you recommend?

I assume you have a LCD/Plasma? Then Blu-ray would be the way to go.

Seperates would be ideal. But Denon's all in one Cara is apparently excellent with both picture and sound - as long as you don't intend shaking the floors, but a bit pricey as well - they're charge for the convenience.
