I'd be inclined to upgrade the NAS to something that supports the Logitech software natively. Shouldn't cost too much after you sell the old one.

Also make sure you get something that supports WOL.

Although if the Mac supports WOL then you can install the server software on that & just have the Sueezebox wake it up when you want to play music.

Hmm, it's looking like the Sonos connect would possibly be a better option then. No need to keep the mac switched on and no need to change the NAS drive for something that works with the squeezebox.

Just seems.a little wasteful/cumbersome having the computer switched on every time I want to listen to music, I would be better off streaming the music from my NAS drive though my Panasonic smart tv and hooking up a dedicated DAC.... However equally as cumbersome.
