Hey

Is it wrong to have the voices coming from all 3? I feel like its a lot better. and I know this is what its all about (whatever sounds best to you). But I dont want it interfering with any effects coming from the Left and Right.

Whats your thoughts

Thanks

Canada16,

Dialogue for movies should ideally be emitted from the centre channel which is made and optimised for this purpose, IMO.

Agree with Mr. A on this one. What settings have you got your amp and Blu Ray player on (assume this is a BD)? And thinking about it, is this happening on all discs, or just one (or two) - as it's possible it's the mix on the disc.

Although the centre channel carries much of the dialogue, it's not unusual for speech to come from left and right speakers, too - for example when actors are off-centre on the screen.

As mentioned above, it's down to the mix on the disc.

Its not an error or anything, I was just playing with the settings on the amp, and it sounded good, but just did not want it to interfear with the surround sounds.

Thanks guys.

Good or just different? Make no mistake, it WILL be altering the placement of other sound effects, it's not something most people would do but it's your choice.

Of course, you could just overlay PLIIx/PLIIz processing on whatever the native sound format happens to be, and widen out the centre channel using that...

Does the fact that you think it sounds better imply that your centre channel volume is set too low perhaps? Might be worth having a fiddle until you're happier with it?

If your setting pro logic, then your going to lose information in the conversion process. Keep to dolby digital and DTS
