Hi, I've KEF 11R Metas and I am looking for a new amp, would you pick Rotel Michi X5 or Denon PMA-A110 in terms of how it sounds? I am not seeking for neutrality, dynamic sound is my choice, (I also have a streamer DAC)

May be you can have different models in mind?

Thanks

No one can answer that question for you, as everybody's ears and preferences are different.
Got to a dealer and try out a few amps with your speakers to see what suits your ears. (Which will be completely different to somebody else's)

Hi Bill, thanks for your answer, I am just wondering other persons's opinions about these 2 amps, in here I have no chance to try them

Personally, I must have both of those qualities.

Not always practical, but the very best thing you could do would be to have 2 or 3 Amps on home loan, playing through your speakers in your room.
That's what I did - and the differences in presentation were more than some people would believe (the sort of people that say "all well designed amps sound the same").

Not much good asking for recommendations - not only do people hear differently, but their perception, descriptions and taste will differ from yours.

Hi, you have very good speakers (congratulation!). I will vote for Rotel Michi X5, series 2 over Denon. Rotel is more universal, less romantic amp, has more gripp. Also Rega Aethos will be very good match or Audia Flight FLS9. My friend used Kef R7 with Audia Flight FLS3 amp. This was also very good sounding combo - in a big room (somethink like 25m²). No need for subwoofer. BR.

Both the Anniversary edition Denon and the Michi series 1 range have been updated/replaced. The Denon seems to have an identical replacement as a regular model, but I’d choose the one you mention for the stunning titanium finish. The X5 is needlessly powerful, so I’d prefer the cheaper X3. Both are now Series 2 with a revised DAC which probably isn’t worth the money.

However, the best advice is to audition Hegel which KEF themselves use to demonstrate their speakers, at least here in the UK. The H390 is probably the best super integrated, again replaced by the much costlier H400. The previous H590 has been surpassed by the H600 but these are both unnecessary for your R11. I would plump for a nearly new H390.

For a British bargain with huge current capabilities take a look at the Exposure 3510.

There's a bit of a price difference between these two amplifiers, the X5 is almost twice the price, what made you choose
them?
Both have inbuilt DACs so you don't need another one.
If I was offered a choice I would take the Michi but I haven't heard either of them.
