I have recently acquired a Denon Micro system - DRA-F101 Stereo Receiver and DCD-F101 CD Player.

Due to home restictions, I listen to most of my music via headphones.(Pink Floyd, Bob Dillon, ELO, Roxy Music, Dire Straits, etc.)

Would it be worth while purcasing a headphone amp - such as Pro-Ject Headbox MK11 - to improve listening quality?

Many thanks for your anticipated response

Hi John I use a project head amp 11, it is a great bit of kit for the budget end of listening. I connect my ipod to it with a Russ Andrews GQ-24 cable and use it in the bedroom,I also connect it to my aged setup and listen to cd's as well.Even the wife says it sounds better than either our old cd players headphone out or directly connecting the headphones to my ipod.I use Grado sr60's or shure se 110's and both sound better.
