Denon AVR-3808 vs Sony STR-DA5300ES - calling all owners !!

Having nearly recovered from the Christmas financial shock, thoughts are now turning to the much needed AV Receiver... I have short-listed 2 models that may fit my needs - the Denon AVR-3808 and Sony STR-DA5300ES. There must be some owners of these 2 receivers out there on the forum...it would be helpful to receive any feedback - pros & cons of each model, etc. I recently saw some feedback on the forum from hifi_nut on the 3808...which looked encouraging. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.
