Denon AVR-1910 troubleshooting

On switching on my amp this morning there was no sound from any of the imputs CD, TV or Blu ray. Suspect my young son has maybe touched something (has done in the past), but can't get any signal at all. Amp display seems fine, I'm convinced it is something simple but after wading through the manual, I'm stumped! Only possible clue is when I was trying to change surround modes on the remote from cinema to music or STD the display said "not available". Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem??? I've just read on another forum a recommendation to blow into the headphone socket!!!!!.......and it worked! Something to do with electrolysis and high resistance..problem solved.

If you have checked everything in the trouble shooting part of the manual, then maybe a factory reset will sort it out.

Obviously this would mean setting everything back up again.
