Hi folks, Just hooking up my Denon 3310 and run into one problem. For some reason it wont pick up sound from any of the co ax inputs from sky hd... i had sky connected via hdmi to the tv with co ax for audio on my 1910.. i reassigned the input to use co ax 2.. and tried pressing input select etc. with no results.. at the moment i have re routed the sky hdmi via the amp and its picking up stereo so at least i have sound. Any help appreciated - do you need to enable co ax inputs or something? i have my ps3 connected via optical 1 and tv via optical 2 for freesat and they are working fine.. cheers, mick

I seem to recall some sort of handshake issue between some Denon receivers and Sky HD...not sure about a 'fix' for it though.....I'm sure someone on here will know or do a search for it in the forum.

I just set my 2310 to use the correct input for audio (otherwise it will use HDMI and all was good!). I think it was under inputs in the menu

I think you also have to tell Sky to output audio via the connection you are using, mine is optical but it must be the same process

Hi Mick,

I have Sky+HD connected to my 4308A via Coax, with no problems at all (which may imply a 3310 fault) I will check all my settings when Im home later and feedback, as I seem to recall a similar issue when I made the switch from optical. I fancied a change from my Nordost whitelight to QED Sig 75.

The difference isnt noticeable to be honest.

well if it is just a fault with the co ax inputs i wouldnt mind... i have a two years warranty anyway in case anything else goes wrong.. couldnt face sending it back to the uk to get checked.. otherwise everything is hunky dory.. might try co ax from by blu-ray player tonight just for the craic.. seems like a serious piece of kit the 3310..
