Denon 1940 DVD Player Or PS3

Can anybody please tell me if it would be worthwhile buying the Denon DVD 1940 player even though I have a PS3. Would the picture quality be significantly better. It would be connected to a Onkyo TXSR605E receiver and running through a Panasonic TH-42PZ70 tv. Many thanks in advance.

I'd stick with the PS3 - I'd say it's slightly better than the Denon with DVDs.

The Denon would trounce the PS3 for music replay, however...

Also bear in mind if you need DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD replay.

Check as well if your Onkyo receiver has an optical delay. You may find you'll need it.
