I think you will have to wait until Heco actually send them a pair to evaluate.

Plenty of other reviews online and I will give you one:-

"They are very good indeed and really would suit room, my amp, and in white, my decor. So much so that I am seriously thinking of buying a pair for myself. Highly recommended, five stars easily"

You're probably better of contacting Heco and saying "please make a supply What Hi-Fi with the excellent "Heco Direkt" speakers. They are available in the UK so go ahead ! I guess many would like to see their review in the magazine"

Thanks, so desperate I am not but it would be nice to see what WHF think about them ;) As far as I could see WHF is not particularly fond of german loudspeakers...

I am not too sure where you got that idea from and, if that's how you feel, why would you want WHFSAV to review them? As I said there are reviews available in other well-regarded publications so what's so special about a WHFSAV review, do you expect them to be anti??

You seem to have misunderstood the point of my post. As others have pointed out above, in most cases What HiFi relies on the manufacturer sending them the product to test. On relatively rare occasions they do buy equipment, but it's usually something that is of enough interest to a broad range of readers rather than a relatively niche part of the market. If you want the magazine to review those speakers, it is probably easier to convince Heco to lend the magazine a pair for testing than it is to make an argument for What HiFi to spend its own money on the speakers.

I doubt that What HiFi thinks of products in terms of nationalities and dislikes German speakers. Do you base that on the fact that they don't review many German speakers (which would then be a case of German speaker manufacturers not liking What HiFi), or those that they've reviewed have not been given 5 stars?

No. I deem WHF reviews as ones of the best ever. This is the reason. In 99% I can agree with the magazine. Of course I read the other ones , probably all of them but they are not from WHF. I would like to see the WHF review.

On nationalities ? Come on...what the heck makes you guys think like this. I meant it seems they do not like german stuff so much in terms of sound quality whereas the same speakers etc. get great reviews elsewhere. But I understand the process of reviewing now, thanks. I did not know that depends on sending them stuff and asking deliberately for a review.

Perhaps it is your English. You did not mention that you were referring to the sound produced.

As you now understand most publications rely on being sent samples to review, that's pretty standard practice. Very few actually go out and purchase a bit of kit themselves (unless the reviewer intends to keep it afterwards at a nice reduced cost... ;-) )

Yes, I should've mentioned the sound quality. Thanks guys. I thought the stuff was chosen randomly by the magazine without the companies' knowledge but such paparazzi WHF are not ;)
