Dear Sony DAV IS10 owners...quick question

Hi all! I want to purchase this system, but due to subwoofer placement issues i need to know the length of the 'multi pin' connector wire that goes between the main DVD unit and the subwoofer. I have the lengths for the speaker cables.

I've been told that its 2 metres...

Can you elaborate a little more about 'sub placement issues?' The Sony's sub only works efficiently pretty close to the front speakers....

Sure. Its going to be used in a bedroom with the 3 front speakers not very far from the subwoofer (about 1-2metres away max), but the main DVD unit, will be sitting on a shelf/bookcase, nearer the bed...hence asking how long the multipin connector cable is that runs between the DVD unit and the subwoofer.

Does anyone have this model that can tell me what length the cable is? I have tried online, Sony's website and Sony store to no avail...

The main unit has a cable approx 1 metre max to the sub. And it has its own speaker cable with its own special connectors so dont worry about cable.

Wow! Only 1 metre? Thats a shame. I knew the measurements of the speaker cables, and yes, for speaker set up those lengths are more than enough. However, since the DVD receiver unit will be positioned about 2 metres away from the subwoofer, the 1 metre length of the multipin connector cable really isn't enough!
