DCS Verdi La Scala 2nd hand

Hey I've got chance to buy this player from the first owner. It's 3.5 years old. He's asking 5000 euro.

What do I need to pay attention to? Is it wise to buy a CD player 2nd hand?

The Verdi is a transport only, you will be better off spend similar money and get a 2nd hand dCS Elgar Plus DAC (which is very very good btw)

OK, will look for that one! You changed speakers already? Heard those Scorpios at my dealer. I was quite impressed to say the least.

I have been using Scorpio II for few weeks now, first I wasn't sure if they would do my amp justice (if you look at rrp different) so I have a home demo of a few highend speakers and happy to say, the Audio Physic is still here.

The Marantz CD7 is really tempting but it's really hard to find these days. Especially over here in the Netherlands.

I heard AMR at the show, very good. I never get up and personal with it enough to comment too much, put it this way, it didn't make me want to change my Marantz CD7 to it.
