erm........its totally crap, I lasted less than 5 mins

the darts do come out of the screen but I gaurantee you will get bored with that gimmick much quicker than you would have thought possible

as I have said before i was really into the idea of 3D but in practise its no good. When did you last hear a good word said about it? has anybody who has got it think it will catch on?

I really hope it does as ive cleared my current account to buy my panasonic, I could have gone to dubai or euro disney as requested by my wife and got a sony ex503

well Andrew, when all the major manufacturers of TV's and one of the biggest broadcasters in the world come together to launch a product / format (across the world), you dont expect it to be without substance (gimmick)

there needs to be a breakthrough in the way things are filmed as its going to die

Cheer up mate the Panasonic is still one of the best 2D Tv's you can buy so its not the end of the world!

For me i think 3D would only really work on a 100" plus projector screen but really can't see it being a big hit on a 46" home TV.

The 3D Projector would be incrediable though!

Roll on the Darts. I am now even more excited.

Yea, darts was not great, but 3D gaming is superb, an occasional friday night film is gonna be cool and the odd footy match will be fun, worth a couple of hundred on the price of a 2D TV all day long, and you may nock it on a personal level Andrew, but tell me your magazines sales figures have not rocketed since the 3D TV reviews have been published??

I was deifinately in the "not interested" camp, but after seeing a demo on a Panasonic 50VT today which was a Panasonic disk with a scene in the grand canyon and a clip from astro boy, I have to say I was impressed .

Now in the "not sure" camp!!!

Had a demo in a Sony shop a few weeks ago. Rubbish. Little better in effect than those old 'Viewmaster' contraptions. Not a 'continuous' 3D effect but in flat 'planes' that seem to move across each other as the camera moves, a bit like layers of 'scenery' on a theatre stage. No natural depth of field.

Totally unimpressed. (And wearing 3D glasses on top of prescription glasses is a nightmare). I only had them on for 5 minutes and that was bad enough.

I sincerely hope that compromises in cinematography do not become widespread in order to accomodate this trashy gimmick.

I am in the... "make it go away quickly before it does lasting damage to the movie industry" camp.

I like it Chebby.

I think if I where buying a TV and it was awesome 2D and just happened to be 3D also then it's a bonus and a nice gimmick to show people, but I would not go out looking for 3D to be on my must have list.

3D showed how rubbish it can be watching darts. Money well spent imo 🙂

its gaming thats going to push 3D in my opinion! played a bit of avatar on the xbox and the 3D makes what is a pretty rubbish game quite immersive.
