I am completly new to Hi-Fi speakers. What would be the best placement for a pair on dali zensor 7?

Welcome to the forum.

I don't think speaker placement is completely down to a particular model but there is a general recommendation to place speakers , and your listening position, at the points of an equilateral triangle with the speakers well clear of corners and the wall behind them (you may note that when WHFSAV reviewed them they found about 50cm out from the wall was ideal although this may not be obtainable in your room if it is on the small side).

If they come with a manual you can sometimes find suggestions for placement in there. How big is your room and what sort of shape is it?

Generally, away from the side walls and not too close to the rear (recommended 20-80cm), also no toe-in required usually with Dali speakers.

So, as above and at the points of an equilateral triangle (with sides equal to whatever the distacne apart you can comfortably place the speakers).

NOTE: This is just a general 'rule of thumb' and not written in stone so feel free to experiment. The actual shape of your room is more likely going to dictate where you can ideally put them.
