DAC with Denon AVR-1910

I've been reading some great reviews of the Beresford Caiman DAC, and I'm wondering how the DAC in the 1910 would compare to an external unit. Would I see much of an improvement with iTunes music played from my PC if I was to add one to my system? Music is currently fed optically from a USB soundcard to the 1910, and played in PureDirect mode to Monitor Audio RS8s
