Cyrus Advice

Hello,

l'm thinking about a Cyrus 3 ish amp, as an interim, prior to looking at something more of an upgrade.

Speakers are Epos M5i.

Compatable?/others?

Advice gratefully received.

Should be a nice amp. If you check with Cyrus they will tell you if it is still upgradeable and for how much. I got a Cyrus 7 integrated for about £200 of ebay and for £300 (price quoted by Cyrus) I can have it upgraded to full 8vs2 spec!!

Yes, that's an idea. Get perhaps a later version, say a 6, & then look to upgrade in the future.

Do you not find the combination of Cyrus & MA RS1 'speakers too bright?

Having owned a pair of RS1's, though l like a tight clear presentation, l found them to be just too forward.

People say that but I find it just right! Maybe it is the influence of the 7 amp??

To be fair, I did hear the CD6s and the 6vs2 Amp with some RS1's and it did sound a bit bright but the set up I have now is fine!?!?!
