Cyrus 8XPd - Headphone connection is Terrible!

I don't think there is anything wrong with your amp's headphone output. It sounds like an impedance issue, in that the Cyrus headphone amp (like many standalones) does not work well with low impedance headphones. Case in point: I have a pair of Sennheiser HD595s, which are low impedance and easy to drive. I get the same hiss and hum through my Cyrus 6XP headphone socket. I upgraded to some AKG Q701s and, more recently, Sennheiser HD650s. Both of these are much higher impedance phones and they work well with the 6XP - no hiss or hum.
