Being a fan I was initially tempted by the new range even before this summer trade-in offer came along. This is a thread that may get re-visited, but has anyone had the chance to compare the old with the new? Yes the new range offers more flexibility but what will it do for the quality of the sound of the music that I currently enjoy, given that I would be shelling out an extra £900?

I loved the 8VS2 on my system, especially with vocals. Can't comment on the new one, but I would image it's a fair step-up in sonic ability, given it's nearly twice the price of the VS.

It will improve on the 8VS2 according to the reports I have read so far, but it is up to you to decide whether the improvement you can hear with your ears is worth your £900. Let us know after you have compared the two!
