Hi i have just sold all my speakers and Cambridge 640a and 640c and 902i and dali lektor 2 speakers.

Ive managed to pick up a cyrus 6vs2 amp and a pair of kef iq5se speakers .

Now tonight i have just paid for an audiolab 8200cd player .

I probably spent £600 on top of selling all my other gear .

Now hoping it was the right move just have got a week to wait for the audiolab to turn up.

Does any one think this system will be a big improvement?

audiolab 8200 cd cyrus 6vs2 and kef iq5se.

id love some feedback.

IMO I think it'll do well but with the Cyrus amp being a little forward and which I think the Kefs may add to as well; the likes of an Arcam CD72 or CD73 or the Rega Apollo would have been my choice

What made you go for the Cyrus 6vs2 amp and the Kefs? Dont get me wrong its a good amp but it's not got massive power; the Cyrus 8vs2 would have been my choice

What music do you generally listen to and what's your cabling?

Thanks for the reply.

The reason i went for the kefs and the cyrus 6vs2 was a small budget at the time i just got bored with my previous setup and thought cyrus amp would be a step up.

The kefs i got for £280 and people always gave them good reviews .

then sold my other items and now managed to purchase a audiolab 8200cd for £550.

Ive got chord carnival silverscreen cables .

My cd s are bands like Elbow ,The xx .Arcade fire mainly indie stuff.

IMO with your taste in music I'd look to sell the Cyrus amp and the CDP on and go for either the Cyrus 8vs2 amp. an Arcam Alpha 10 integrated amp or a Musical Fidelity XA200 amp and the Rega Apollo CDP

All can be found 2nd hand on eBay and the likes and all will work brilliantly with the Kef speakers

The Cyrus 6vs2 is a good amp as I've said but it does lack power IMO and the Kefs deserve better
