Hi all,

Hope someone can help - which is the best of the current crop of Plasma screens for watching SD (satellite) and HD content (DVD) or should I be looking at an older model? I watch a lot of sport so motion and clarity are really important if possible - I know the TV needs to be able to "scale" the image but have heard good things about Sony's, Panasonics and Pioneers ability in this area.

Also should I look at a smaller screen than a 46in / 50in? (I have 11 ft viewing distance).

Thanks in advance,

John

11ft is fine for a 50in, i'd check out the latest plasmas from panasonic, samsung and lg..

Thanks Max - any particular suggestion for which model baring in mind the SD picture?

na, i haven't seen any of the new tvs yet, it's a bit early for reviews too. my lg50pk350 does sd very well though, so i'd give their new range consideration, great value but i have a hunch the pannys will still be the best plasmas this year, but also the priciest..

Thanks again, really appreciated. Which were the best IYO from last year's ranges as there are some amazing deals out here on the both LG, Panas and Sony?

the panasonic v20 has a couple of quirks, but at the prices they're going for now i think they are a steal..
