Just reading some reviews on the new evolution stuff from Creek Audio (both the 50A and 50CD).

As Creek is not something you see very often in the Netherlands I read it with interest.

Is Creek shaking up the budget prized market with this? Has anyone over here got this amp and cd player?

In truth the previous incarnations of the Evolution range have also been excellent and Creek have always made extremely good kit. They are flavour of the month at present, but certainly their excellence is nothing new.

But WHF reviews have not been good, probably why they did not send the 50A amp in for review.

50A amp was the best i heard out of about 7 in that price range but Creek's problem is they have few dealers in the UK.

WHF reviews are purely opinion and not fact - ignore them and listen yourself

Indeed. The Evo2 is a fabulous amp. If it had a built-in phono stage that and not the Leema would be amp.

This review seems to suggest the Creek 50A is a very good amplifier

Demo'd the 50a against the Rotel RA-11 and Arcam A19. Brought it home on demo and now the proud owner of a black one!

Ordered the Sequel 40 phono board this very evening, and plan to buy the Ruby DAC when it comes along.

I would be very interested to read your thoughts on the quality of the Sequel 40 whenever you have had chance to use it in anger. :cheers:

I like my Sequel 40 board. I have the older Mk I version, presumably you have ordered the newer Mk II board? Dead easy to fit, a 2 minute job.
