Pianos in those conditions require systems such as the DamppChaser one to be fitted, and for humidity to be controlled in the room generally. Without these measures all manner of problems would be encountered, even on the most expensive of instruments. It will be no different with a pair of speakers - they can't be expected to survive being subjected to such conditions without appropriate measures in place.

Any self respecting 'piano' retailer would give that advise at point of purchase and ensure it is implemented correctly.

Now I have no idea if the OP's post is genuine but I would assume the same goes for any self respecting Hifi dealer in such an environment, especially if you spend $20000+.

They SHOULD, but there's plenty of retailers in both markets that don't give good advice, sadly. It's a valid comparison.
