Connecting Marantz PM6005 to SR7009 for 7.1.4 Atmos

Hi Adrian, simply follow the brilliant Marantz setup process. It's a step by step process which is easy to understand. Basically, 9 speakers are connected to the 7009 and 2 (either the fronts or rear Atmos speakers, I chose rear Atmos) to the 6005. The 6005 then connects to the corresponding dedicated pre-outs on 7009.

I was planning to take the fronts' preouts through the external stereo amp. Although the manual only mentions to do so with the rear heights. Do I actually have a choice?

And I wonder what woudl be better.

Audyssey in Marantz gave me that choice. I preferred the rears because my stereo amplifier was only an entry level one (almost) and I preferred cohesion of sound across fronts and centre which is easier if managed by a single amp (the AVR).
