So I have a system set up with amp, dac, turntable and CD player, I also connect my MacBook through optical to dac.

I have been wanting to use my headphones in my system but have no existing headphone jack. I recently got a good deal on a used Burson Conductor amp/sac

how would I best connect the burson to my system to listen to the existing dac sources and the turntable?

So now you effectively have 2 DACs? Seems a waste.

I see that the Burson also has RCA in. Does your amp have a fixed level output like Tape Out? If so you could use that to fee the Burson and just use it as a headphone amp and ignore the DAC and preamp functions.

How many analogue inputs does the Burson have? It's supposed to be a pretty good DAC, so you may want to consider replacing your existing DAC with it and then getting a phono preamp so that you can connect the turntable to the Burson and then use the analogue out from the Burson to you amp. It means that you will have to use the Burson instead of the amp to select your source.

Thanks for reply. Yep I do have two DACs, that was the plan. I have a 3 year old so my system is set up in the spare bedroom out of harms way, the Burson will be used in the that system but also when I work away from home and in my bedroom (or anywhere else) with an Apple Airport express. The tape out is the info I need, that will work great. I have an old Classe with a tape out, will test it tomorrow.
